A Cheesy Garlic Biscuit that is ready is minutes

Tales of the Dinner Belle

By Brenda Stanley

There is nothing better than a tasty and flaky biscuit at dinner. It just warms up a meal and makes it complete. Usually I make my sour cream biscuits and serve them with plenty of sweet jam or honey, but when I want something a bit more savory, I make my garlic cheese biscuits.  They are just as easy, but bake up with the flavors of garlic, cheddar cheese, and ranch and are ready to eat right out of the oven. Forget the butter or any other condiments, these biscuits are full of flavor and will satisfy anyone who loves a robust and cheesy biscuit.

Belle’s Garlic Cheese Biscuits

1 cup self-rising flour

½ cup butter

½ cup sour cream

½ cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

½ teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon dried ranch dressing

2 teaspoons dried chives

In a bowl mix together the butter, sour cream, dried ranch dressing, garlic powder, cheese and chives. Mix in the self-rising flour.  Divide into six-eight greased muffin tins. Bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes or until browned and done inside.
