Belle’s Creamy Cheesy Bean Dip

A simple dip that is anything but boring! Enjoying appetizers doesn’t have to be reserved for a holiday or special occasion. My creamy, cheesy bean dip is a family favorite, and I will often make it on a Sunday afternoon as we’re watching the game or just enjoying the weekend. It’s so simple to make and is ready in just minutes. It’s slightly spicy, with two types of cheese, and is full of creamy flavor. You serve this dip warm, and with the protein-rich beans, it’s actually quite filling. So, why not make an ordinary afternoon special with this creamy, beany, cheesy treat?

Belle’s Creamy Cheesy Bean Dip

1 can refried beans

¼ cup salsa

¼ cup sour cream

4 ounces cream cheese

1 can diced green chilies

1 tablespoon taco seasoning

1 cup shredded Monterey jack cheese

½ cup shredded cheddar cheese

In a saucepan, mix together the beans, salsa, sour cream, cream cheese, green chilies, and taco seasoning. Heat until hot over medium heat. Add the cheese. Cook and stir until the cheese is melted. Cool slightly before serving.
